BodenWärme's 10mm thick Underfloor Heating Insulation Board is designed to reflect heat upwards, back into your room. The insulation helps reduce the running costs of your electric underfloor heating system and improve the time the system takes to heat up by up to 50%.
Suitable for most floor tiles, the boards have a superb bond with flexible tile adhesives due to their specially formulated reinforced cementitious coating. The lightweight but robust boards have a compressive strength of 30 tonnes per m², making them suitable for practically any tiled floor installation. Its polymer mortar layer also features an embedded fibreglass mesh which provides superior strength and rigidity.
The boards contain no CFC (chlorofluorocarbon) or HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbon) gasses that are harmful to the atmosphere. With zero water absorption, these waterproof boards help alleviate common issues that can arise when water and heat-sensitive plywood come into contact.
Each board weighs as little as 2kg, making it easy to carry and manoeuvre into position when installing your underfloor heating system. Should you need to cut the boards at any point during the installation, this can be done easily using a sharp-bladed Stanley knife.
