A 'check reveal' is a detail that is particularly common in Scotland and Central Europe. It involves forming an opening in the external masonry skin where the external structural opening is smaller than the window frame. Consequently, when installed, the outer face of the window frame butts up against the back of the exterior skin. In this scenario, the primary weather seal is formed between the front face of the window and the opening rather than the outer perimeter of the window and a conventional 'flush' reveal.

The multi-width profiles have been specifically designed to enable merchants and stockists to hold two sizes only, which are quick and easy to trim on-site to suit various cavity width requirements.
