Description

Thermofloc is a loose fill premium cellulose based insulation made from recycled/unmixed newspaper combined with a mineral fire retardant manufactured to meet the highest quality standards that offers a sustainable and cost effective way to insulate horizontal surfaces such as your loft or floors. With an installed density of 40kg/m3 Thermofloc has a high thermal performance and also helps with sound reduction.

Please note, this product can only be laid horizontally.

Deliveries to the postcodes AB, IV, KW, PH, PA, HS, KA, ZE and to ROI/NI may incur additional delivery charges.

Coverage
Approximately 3m2 per bag based on 100mm depth.
Thermal conductivity : 0.039W/mK.

Thermofloc is fully CE marked and holds the coveted natureplus mark of quality. Made from organic cellulose, Thermofloc satisfies all customer needs in terms of thermal insulation properties and processing options while at the same time requires very low processing energy in manufacture.

Thermofloc is available in 12kg bags and the material is simply broken up into a light fluffy consistency and spread evenly to achieve the desired thickness. No protective clothing is required to install, but we recommend wearing a dust mask in confined spaces.

What depth of filling is required to meet modern standards ?

Answer:

The minimum filling depth you'd require is 100mm to also achieve 3m2 per bag. 

Question:

How does this product work in areas that may become condensated? Is it moisture wicking?

Answer:

ThermoFloc is breathable but it is not recommended to use in an area of high condensation.

What is the actual size of the bag, I need to know to make sure I can get it i to my loft space. Thanks Graham Harrison

The bag size is 12kg

Can it be blown into a space with restricted access?

Answer:

This can be blown in, but it would have to be done by a registered professional, as this isn't a service that we can provide.

What is the approx volume that each bag would provide when laid under a floor?

Answer:

For this product in particular, you would get 3m2 coverage per bag, and that is based on 100mm depth
