Find out moreWith a selection of lengths available, these SureTwist Plus 6mm Helical Warm Roof fixings are designed for securing counter battens over a layer of insulation into the structural roofing timbers. They come in a pack of 100 and have one point.
To guarantee the safety of the product, tension is generated in the helical part of the fastening through the twisting motion employed during the manufacturing process. This action puts the fins in tension and core in compression, in turn enabling the detection of impurities in the raw materials during production, with any inferior materials being rejected.
The manufacturing process significantly enhances the tensile strength of the base material, more than doubling it. The prominent fins situated over the core provide the SureTwist Profile with exceptional bonding properties, surpassing those of other standard reinforcing materials.
SureTwist is an austenitic stainless steel, Grade 1.4301 or 1.4401 - DIN EN 10088 Part 3 (1995), AISI - 304 or 316, reinforcing material with a list of unique properties (Or 8.8 High Tensile Steel for specific applications). The SureTwist Helical Anchorage System provides a great solution. Rolled from a plain round wire, the fins are work-hardened to a great level, meanwhile the core maintains a relatively soft composition.
