Find out moreKlober's new reflective air barrier and vapour control layer, known as Sepa Solar, effectively limits heat loss through the roof. When used alongside other products in Klober's airtightness range, it enables you to minimise energy loss and delivers support for insulation boards or quilts.
When installed facing into the services void or room, the reflective surface of Sepa Solar enhances the thermal resistance of the construction. During the drying-out period, Sepa Solar acts as a barrier, stopping great volumes of water vapour from entering the construction from the interior.
As Building Regulations become more stringent, requiring thicker layers of insulation, it becomes increasingly crucial to incorporate an air barrier and vapour control layer on the warm side of the insulation. With a vapour resistance surpassing 500 MNs/g, Sepa Solar significantly exceeds the standards outlined in BS9250 (Code of Practice for the design of airtightness in pitched roof ceilings).
Sepa Solar is suited to various applications, including the inner face of an insulated roof, walls (including timber frame) and cold and warm roof applications, as well as ceilings and walls of rooms-in-the roof, and on the ceilings below uninhabitable lofts.
