As a multi-use material, ROCKWOOL consists of a semi-rigid slab with a unique flexible edge along one side, ensuring a seamless fit is retained between the insulation and the supporting framework for ideal efficiency. The special design is formed using patented technology for an easy and quick friction fit between timber and metal frame systems, ensuring the Flexi Slab delivers efficient fire resistance, acoustic performance and thermal insulation in all framed areas of your building. Light in weight and straightforward to cut to any shape with a sharp knife, this Rockwool slab has no maintenance requirements once installed.
The Flexi slab works in two distinct ways to reduce noise. Rockwool stone wool products either absorb sound at the surface or impede sound transmission through an element of the structure.
