Specially designed for use within ventilated cladding systems as well as sealed systems such as curtain walling, this NyRock® Rainscreen 032 is a stone wool insulation product which has been made using patented technology. With an efficient fibre structure, these slabs increase the density of trapped air pockets, resulting in improved thermal performance in comparison to traditional stone wool.
Once fitted, this NyRock® Rainscreen insulation's high density coordinates with a factory-applied water-repelling agent to provide enhanced resilience against rain ingress during construction. These slabs are effortless to fit around brackets and other awkward details and, when firmly pushed adjacently, they effectively 'knit' together to deliver a continuous insulating layer, minimising heat loss that would have otherwise been caused by gaps.
These NyRock® Rainscreen 032 slabs are suitable for use in a variety of construction types including a steel or timber frame with a masonry outer leaf and masonry walls, a timber frame or a steel frame in conjunction with a cladding system. For optimal thermal performance in framed structures, you can combine these NyRock® Rainscreen Slabs 032 with NyRock® Frame Slabs 032.

Can rock wool duo slab be used as a cavity full fill insulation in a small domestic property?
Answer:
I wouldn't recommend this product for a full fill cavity as this Rockwool slab in particular isn't specced for it.
