Novia® Black+ Roof and Wall Breather Membrane is a high-performance product that caters to various roofing and wall insulation requirements. You can use it for both cold and warm roofs and insulated walls, and it has undergone rigorous testing to meet the standards of EN 13859-1 and EN 13859-2 for pitched roofing and walls, respectively. The membrane has a matt finish slip-resistant surface, which is lightweight yet strong, with excellent tensile and nail tear strength.

This product exhibits exceptional water resistance and can be directly installed over insulation, boarded roofs, or rafters. The roll comes in black on one side with lap lines and grey on the reverse and is suitable for zones 1 to 5 in the UK for BS 5534 wind uplift with tape.

Please note:

Novia® Black+ is coloured black on one side and grey on the other without text or images on either side, except overlap guidelines.
For wall or warm roof applications, it is important to install a Novia vapour barrier, such as Novia VC2 or VC200 Reflective, on the warm side of the insulation to prevent unwanted interstitial condensation. Even minor moisture contamination of 1-3% within the insulation can have a significant impact on the achieved thermal performance by over 30%.
While Novia Black+ Breather can minimise the risk of condensation within the roof space, in specific atmospheric conditions, the risk of condensation cannot be entirely eliminated.
Ensure that sufficient ventilation is incorporated to comply with all relevant building regulations and technical standards, such as BS 5250.
On wall installations, do not begin a vertical lap joint within 300mm of a corner. Vertical laps should be at least 150mm.
