The OmniFit® Slab 35 is an adaptable insulation material that can be utilised for both timber and steel frame construction across various applications. It is unfaced and made from glass mineral wool, and it has been designed to be environmentally friendly without any substances that could contribute to the depletion of the ozone layer and with no greenhouse gases.
Created using Knauf Insulation's bio-based binder, ECOSE® Technology, the OmniFit® Slab 35 is a versatile product that can be used for ground floors, internal walls, internal partitions, pitched roofs at rafter level, as well as in light steel frame walls and timber frame walls. Its multipurpose nature minimises the need for several insulation products during transport and on-site. It's manufactured dimensions also allow for easy friction fitting between common stud centres, excluding the need for wastage or on-site cutting.
This insulation material is safe as it is non-combustible and has been given a Euroclass A1 rating for its reaction to fire. It is also free from vermin, has no unpleasant odour, is rot-proof, and is non-hygroscopic. Additionally, it does not facilitate the growth of harmful organisms such as bacteria, fungi, or mould, and its lightweight structure makes it easy to handle and install. Cutting to size when necessary is also done with minimal effort.
Due to its ability to adapt to slight variations in the substrate and knit together to reduce air gaps, the OmniFit® Slab 35 provides prime insulation performance. It is easier to install than rigid boards and other types of insulants and is supplied in recyclable polythene packs (4-LDPE) to ensure short-term protection.
