Free of ozone-depleting substances and greenhouse gases, this unfaced glass mineral wool OmniFit® Slab 35 is ideal for multiple applications in both timber and steel frame construction. Made with Knauf Insulation's unique bio-based binder, ECOSE® Technology, it is non-combustible and carries a Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification.
Without sustaining vermin, OmniFit® Slab 35 is odourless, rot proof and non-hygroscopic. It also doesn't promote the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. You can handle and install the slab with ease due to the lightweight structure. It is also easy to cut to size where required.
This slab is often implemented to achieve the thermal and acoustic insulation of a wide variety of constructions, such as ground floors, internal floors, internal walls and partitions, and pitched roofs at rafter level. It is also suitable for light steel frame walls and timber frame walls. Due to its versatility, it reduces the need for multiple products during transport and on-site. The manufactured dimensions permit friction fitting between common stud centres without requiring any on-site cutting or wastage.
With a material that adjusts to any small imperfections in the substrate and knits together, air gaps are eliminated and OmniFit® Slab 35 is straightforward to install correctly in comparison to other insulants such as rigid boards. The absence of air gaps allows for maximum performance.
