The product is designed to be used underneath rather than as a final surface, the surface layer is rather spongey and not suited to even light traffic.

How do you lay the Karma Soundlay 9mm? Which side down? The foam or the rubber side?

Installation procedure can vary based upon the underlying surface but the foam side is always installed down with the harder (rubber) surface on the top side.
