Everbuild 708 Self Level Floor Compound - 20Kg

Ideal for levelling subfloors, Everbuild's Self Levelling Floor Compound is a cement-based solution designed to rectify uneven floors and screeds before installing ceramic tiles, thermoplastic tiles, lino, wood block flooring, or carpet.

This product boasts improved flow properties and long open time to result in easy trowelling. Additionally, it sets quickly with a depth of up to 6mm in a single coat. Free of protein (casein), it can be used both internally and externally, adding to its versatility.

For a self-levelling topping, combine the mixture with either water or EVERBUILD FLOOR FLEX PLUS. When blended as instructed, the compound delivers a free-flowing consistency that solidifies within 90 minutes and can be layered after just eight hours under standard temperatures.

20kg offers a coverage of approximately 4m² at 3mm (standard), depending on the porosity of the substrate.

Surface Preparation

• Sand/cement render: Allow a minimum of four weeks drying time prior to application. Dampen floors and prime using EVERBUILD PVA diluted 1: 3 with water. Following the details below, mix it with water. If surfaces are exposed to heavy foot traffic, you should use EVERBUILD FLOOR FLEX PLUS instead of water when mixing.
• Timber floors: This product is compatible with interior floors only and floors must be securely screwed down at 300mm centres. Apply Everbuild SBR Bond to the floor at a 1: 1 dilution. Mix Everbuild Self Levelling Compound with Everbuild SBR Bond diluted 1: 1 with water (20kg of powder to 5 litres of 1: 1 liquid mix) and then apply to subfloor whilst the bonding coat has a tacky consistency.
• Existing vinyl tiles: You should make sure that tiles are clean and sound. Prime using Everbuild SBR diluted 1: 1 with water and then apply the floor level compound mixed with FLOOR FLEX PLUS over tiles whilst primer coat has a tacky consistency. Let it dry for 24 hours before applying the final covering.

Application

• To prepare floors for treatment, they must be free of grease, dust, and loose particles. Moisten the floors with water and prime with Everbuild PVA Bond diluted at a ratio of one part PVA to three parts water to create a solid, slightly damp surface.
• Mix 20kg of self-levelling powder with 4 litres of water by gradually adding the powder to the water while stirring until a free-flowing creamy compound is produced. Pour the mixture onto the floor, letting it find its level, and trowel it down lightly to ensure an overall thickness not exceeding 6mm.
• If further finishing is needed, wait 45-60 minutes after application for surface to stiffen, then sprinkle a small amount of water. Carefully trowel to create a smooth surface. Do not over-trowel or add excessive water. Apply additional layers as needed, with each layer not exceeding 6mm. Prime between layers with Everbuild PVA Bond diluted at a ratio of one part to three parts with water.
• For deeper depressions (greater than 6mm in depth up to 15mm), add one part clean, dry sharp sand to one part Self Levelling Compound after mixing the powder with water. Reduce the mixing water before sand is incorporated. Add water as needed to achieve the correct consistency.

Please note:

• Flow characteristics will be affected by addition of the sand. If the product starts to stiffen or set, DO NOT try to remix or add extra water. Instead use EVERBUILD DEEP FILL levelling compound which fills up to 50mm in one coat. For areas where heavy loading and/or trafficking are anticipated on the final surface, mix Everbuild Self Levelling Floor Compound with neat Everbuild FLOOR FLEX PLUS rather than water. This enhances flexibility, adhesion and durability of the screed. The mixing ratio is again 20kg of powder to 5 litres of FLOOR FLEX PLUS. Again, prime the floor with Everbuild PVA diluted one part to three parts with water.
• This product is not suitable for use as a final wearing surface.
• Setting time will be greatly increased when overlaying impervious surfaces and in cold weather.
