If you want to add a splash of colour to your cement-based products, like mortar, screeds, render, concrete and more, this EVERBUILD Powder Mortar Tone offers the perfect solution. It features a high-quality powdered oxide pigment designed to give your projects a permanent and vibrant red hue.
Not only is this pigment lightfast and fade-resistant, but it also contains a plasticiser to enhance workability and trowelability. Plus, with a chloride ion content of less than 0.1%, it's chloride-free and helps inhibit efflorescence and reduce segregation and bleeding.
To ensure a strong mechanical bond and the best results, be sure to properly prepare your surfaces by removing any old paint, loose material, dust or contaminants, like grease, oil or any surface laitance. Walls should be wire-brushed. Then, add this Powder Mortar Tone to your dry aggregate, sand and cement before adding any water. Mix well until the colour is dispersed, then add the required liquids. Add at a rate of up to 8% by weight of cement without exceeding this amount.
For the best results in large areas, such as external renders, use the same batches of cement and sand to prevent any colour differences from showing through. Additionally, you should store this Powder Mortar Tone in moderate temperatures and protect it from damp to keep it fresh and effective.
