Find out moreThis 2400mm x 1200mm x 12.5mm Gyproc Moisture Board from British Gypsum's Plasterboard range boasts a Tapered Edge and is BES 6001 certified, earning a commendable "Very Good" rating. Made with a gypsum core infused with water-repellent additives and robust paper liners, it offers exceptional durability.
Weighing 8.6kg/m², this Gyproc moisture-resistant plasterboard is ideal for drylining internal surfaces. Achieving a class 1 fire rating on both sides according to BS 476, it ensures safety while providing a thermal resistance of 0.7m²K/W and a low thermal conductivity of 0.19W/mK.
With an easy installation process, fix the board with the decorative side out, allowing for joint treatment or a sleek skim plaster finish. Gently butt the boards together, ensuring they are not forced into place. Install fixings no closer than 13mm from cut edges and 10mm from bound edges. Position cut edges to internal angles when possible, removing paper burrs with fine sandpaper. Stagger horizontal and vertical board joints by a minimum of 600mm between layers. Locate the board at the centre line of framing where it supports board edges or ends.
Gyproc jointing materials make joint reinforcement straightforward, creating a continuously smooth, crack-resistant surface ready for priming and your chosen decoration. Numerous jointing specifications are available to suit the board type, application method and site preference. You can cut the board with ease using a plasterboard saw or scoring with a sharp knife and snapping it over a straight edge, ensuring a precise fit for your project.
