These underfloor heating mats are a durable and long-lasting alternative to other carbon film systems, lasting a lifetime thanks to the tough fluoropolymer insulation and connecting easily with a single wire. Even after installation, they have minimal impact on the height of your floors, as little as 1mm, so you don't have to worry about adjusting doors.
These Electric Underwood Heating Mats are also highly compatible, working with a wide range of electric thermostats, from straightforward dials to modern feature-heavy panels. These heating mats cannot be shortened or cut to size, so it is essential to select the correct size. First, calculate the entire floor space area in metres squared (m²). Next, deduct any space occupied by fixed furniture with less than 50mm clearance from the floor; this will eliminate the risk of hot spots. Once you have a total area minus the deductions, deduct a further 10% to allow for the spacing between the mats and around the room's perimeter. This final number is your required kit size in m². A single thermostat can control up to 24m². Areas larger than 24m² should be divided into separate zones and controlled with multiple thermostats.
