This underfloor heating kit includes an electric WiFi smart touchscreen thermostat which boasts intuitive controls, an effortlessly modern and elegant design and fuss-free elements. With built-in frost protection, an ambient room sensor and a dedicated floor sensor, it can be controlled via an IOS/Android app in addition to the panel while Monday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday settings can be programmed separately. Fitting in all standard 45mm back boxes, it features up to four programme periods as well as a key lock which stops accidental inputs of programmes or settings being changed.

How should I calculate the correct size BodenWärme heating kit?

The heating mats cannot be cut to size or shortened so it is vital that you choose the correct size. First, you should calculate the whole floor space area in metres squared (m²) then deduct any space occupied by fixed furniture with less than 50mm clearance from the floor to remove the risk of hot spots. Once you have the total area minus the deductions, subtract a further 10% to allow for the spacing between the mats and around the room's perimeter. This final number is your required kit size in m². A single thermostat can control up to 24m². Areas larger than 24m² should be controlled with multiple thermostats and divided into separate rooms.
